Actually for those who have read history will know that after Tipu’s defeat his family members were kept in captivity/banished in Bengal many were chased out, so they were no threat to the Brits. Her father was an employee in the court of the Russian Czar where she was born. We should also remember that India fought on the British side. Even many of our top political leaders of that time felt that the Nazi’s were a bigger threat than the Brits.
