China has moved into producing the arms itself thus reducing its defence expenditure .. This way it is producing arms locally and providing employment to its people.. How good those weapons r .. Tht only time can tell ..India will sooner move in tht direction .. We have already started taking steps in this direction but still a long way to go ..Declaring a war is not so easy nowadays .. Its pull backs the economy many years back .. But with china we have to be very cautious .. keep gathering the intelligence ..This is the era of intelligence .. Whosoever has best intelligence will survive and grow ..

Though china spends much more in defence but India access to western and Russian techs have made sure that we are not left too far behind. About crappy tech..better look at china's arsenal a little deeper..there philosophy was to build crappy tech in huge numbers undermining the quality(seriously).

Nukes don't protect against conventional war or terrorism. They only protect against nukes.

Possession of nukes does not rule out a conventional war at all.

Have posted an article here some time back about allowing the private industry to get into arms. Its all GOI for now.

Recall reading an article by Raman some time back saying most recurits were more interested in the Pakistan side of things than the Chinese side. Even when there are newshows about China, how often do you see a China watcher on the panel, never seen a single one, they are usually diplomats or 'defense consultants'.

The impression that one gets is China just isn't that important to India as say it is to the US to understand.

Well i don't know what good all these missiles and nuke do when 10 men could wreak havoc in the business capital of India.And damn our politicians don't even have the balls to hang the one b@stard that we got.
