How to sync at 2048kbps

Guys I have 2048/512 enabled from the exchange,except I almost never get connected at that rate

Its only when i try manually and repeatedly rebooting the UT-300R2U router at strange times that I get synced at 2048/512

other times I just get 1112/512 ;1456/512 and in the day its never above 1000/512

Is there any way i can get my router to always sync at 2048/512 or keep trying the handshake/channel analysis till it does get 2048/512??

1.Post screenshot DSl status. Even if DSl status show 2048/512 actual speed willbe less depending on line/net/website etc. Try other tweaks to increase speed. 2.You are connecting to different IPs. sync rate cannot be adjusted by tweaks except offcourse trying out different modulations (adsl advanced settings) to determine which one suits ur line condition best and allows u to sync at the correct speed..Another thing that can be done is checking if the line has got joints/cuts etc..any unnecessary joints need to be eliminated..

And what could be those tweaks be?

Internet speed boosts and modem sync rates? Those are completely unrelated. If the DSLAM has your modems line rate set at 2048 and yet it doesn't sync at that then there has to be a problem in the line, the modem then syncs at the highest possible stable rate. I would suggest you try the things said by cyberwiz

Its most definitely a line issue, a break or joints somewhere as suggested by cyberwiz...............Complain to MTNL and get the line checked.........

Best is atleast getting the telepone wiring in ur house changed to new.And ask MTNL to check ur line as well

It is a definite line issue.Here are my line stats at this moment-00:36 hrs

Internal wiring is excellent it was done just 2 months ago when i paid my linesman some bakshish 😉

But Shimpoli and Borivali Exchanges are so close to me,yet since I'm on this side of the road I'm connected to Charkop-Kandvili(W) which is almost 3 kms away 🙁 (hence lousy line stats)
In a few mins I'll reboot a couple of times and I'm sure to get 2048/512 or something close to that:thumbsup:
My problem is how to make the modem keep doing - handshaking, transceiver training, channel analysis and exchange.

Till I get the magic 2048/512.Currently it does this twice and give me the best it can manage,
But if I pray hard enough it will soon sync at 2mbps:thumbsup:

Your SNR Margin of 12.8/12 is too low also ur line Attenuation is pretty high at 37/23.8. Its definitely a line problem.....................My SNR is 29/17 and liine Attenuation is 21/11.

Same line,same PC config,Same modem.....and neither my house nor the exchange have moved even an inch
Look at the SNR/Att Stats improved at 24/44 from the earlier 12.8/37
Stable line stats since 00:52 hrs are seen to be excellent here since the Modem somehow(Definite Uparwale ki Dua) managed to sync at 2048/512
Uparwala is getting bugged with my Dua's;I'm disturbing his sleep....I need Dava,not Dua 🙂
How long will I keep rebooting till I hit the Max mark?????
Anyway to keep the mode auto-syncing till it hits 2048/512?

Did not try anytime to adjust modem settings. to get these figures.

@skorpio1: Suggest you to try neighbors/friends router, if u can, for test and see if u still have the problem...............

Tried another Router, and also fiddled around with the advanced settings of my router
Its a line problem,since at my distance from Home to exchange
(3kms plus).........2048/512 should be impossible

But sometimes the UT-300R2U manages to achieve the impossible.
And Since I cannot afford to relocate with my whole family,
plus MTNL is the only BB service provider,I have no choice

Tried with a friends D-link502 but that never achieved even 1500/512 for 3 nights.
So I'm sticking with the UT-300R2U............I just need to know whether i can make it resync till it achieves 2048/512

I think it should be one of these settings:=

How is your Attainable rate lower than Rate?😕
If your Line can achieve only 2028kbps,then ideally thats the max that u should get

In my case attainable is 10MB/1.1MB
but I get 2MB/0.5MB,coz even though my line can support higher ,its capped at the exchange
