Horrible Myway IPTV service in Chennai

Dear friends,

Please read this before buying IPTV. I came to know about MyWay (I hate to even write this name now) in the exhbition launced near Marina. I got impressed with the technology and booked for this. They said they will come and pick up the money from my house. very next day i got the call and i was told that 3 months free offer will end by today (Sep 30 2009) and i have to pay for it immediately. I said ok and the guy (senthil - 9444843548) came with in 1 hr to my office and got the money, i was told that installation will happen in 7 days. 7 days past and i did not get any calls, i called cs number (18602669929) and they said it will take 5 to 7 more days as there were issue with my broadband connection compatibility with IP TV.

5 days past again and no news from them, i called up again and i was told that installation will be made on 12-Oct-2009, 12 th oct ended without any installation, called up again and got the commitment for 13th now, 13 past and the new date and time given to me was 14th 12-1 PM asusal this did pass and the cycle continued to friday afternoon. Friday afternoon did pass and i started losing my patience. i called cs and shouted at them and asked them the manager number, they said they will have him call me in 1 hr and nothing happened as promised after 10 more repeated calls to cs i finally got a call from the manager (i guess his name is Pankaj) and he promised me that the installation will happen by 19th i said i need my money back if it not happenening on monday. techinican called me on monday(19th) and told me that he will install by 20 or 21 positively, this also did not happen and today (22nd) when i called them and shouted at them for the poor service and asked the manager to talk, a guy name Indirjit spoke to me, i was now very patiently explained to him the problems and what kind of service they have to provide me to make customers happy, this guy got frustated and taking to me by raising his voice when i asked him not to raise his voice he started using unparlimentary words. I am fed up now and writing this thread.

I am fine if there are problems and delays but the customer should be informed about the problems and delays, instead of cheating the customers by commiting installation dates. very immatured customer service agents (esp indrajit) is going to make this company shut. the guy who got my money is not even picking up my calls. when i asked the cs agent to return back my money they say it will take 30 more days to return it is better to get it installed. I do not want to go for this junk service. if they can take my money in 1 hrs time i don't know why it takes 30 days for them to give back my money.

Please think 100 times before spending your money on this, i am having my fingers crossed to get my money back.

Is there anyway I can sue these guys.

Well, i would say that is very bad.If you have all the proper proofs of the payments made and the correspondences with myway and serious with taking up the issue, go ahead and contact the rotary consumer guidance cell at chennai. Not sure which part of the city you are from but this cell is at annanagar. My friend there had an experience with an electronics showroom and was successful in getting a refund! Info. from him is as below. My experience is totally different with Myway iptv. I got the connection after calling them through broadband bsnl site. They came installed before 20days and got the cheque from me. The TV watching was also good till I had the problem 10days before. First when I switched on one evening I did not get the picture and also for the next day. I complained to their CC and they said the problem would be solved with in 24hours. The person from local Chennai called and I got the picture after two days. But the quality is not so good that the picture gets freezes for most of the time or I dont get the picture at all. I hate viewing my TV now. Previously, I had DD DTH. Now I feel DD DTH is far better in picture and as well as cost that it is nil with DD DTH. I dont know what the MYway people will do, that my time is wasted in calling their customer service. :wall:
