Has bsnl started issuing 4g sims? Apart from initial cost, what are the other costs and features to opt for it

Hi, i was not officially intimated either thro sms about bsnl switching to 4g.
If 4g is opted, apart from initial sim price, what are other costs involved.
Is it the same callrate, sms rate and usual rate as per bsnl 3g sim or is there any cost difference in this.
What are other advantages in opting the 4g sim

I think costs are the same, but BSNL 4G sims are available only in those circles where BSNL has launched LTE. And yeah, speeds will be higher than 3G.
 
Thanks for the information. What are the regions that now bsnl supplies the 4g.
Should we change the phone number because of this.
Or the same number would be available to us
 
Your number will remain the same and as per my knowledge BSNL has launched LTE in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Have heard of launch in Gujarat as well, but I am not sure.
 

@rajujayaraman the last time I heard about BSNL 4G launch in a couple of states, they at least had the money to pay their employees. Now that they are in such a poor financial position, I don't even think spectrum is gonna help them. They obviously need money for towers and stuff and I don't think the government's gonna spend so much on them. The future looks bleak for BSNL.
 
After years of having put up with BSNL, I have decided its time to move on to Airtel
can i have the same sim number if i want to move to airtel.
But had not this, airtel, cellular service came in news about automatic account opening without consent of users practice ? Has the matter been settled to users satisfaction.
I still stick to bsnl, as it is not hiding anything from users.
