Anyone using it? I just got invited. Pretty cool. But could get very annoying. It requires you to have your phone with you every time you have to login as they send you a OTP on SMS. I suppose a couple of you already have this for your online banking 😀

what are you talking about?Give the URL.Is it regarding gmail login?send me an invite if possible

well this is not a service that allows me to send invites to others.

it is either enabled or not. if not, you are probably going to get the invite soon from google itself. they are rolling it out slowly.

once you enable it, you are logged out of ALL google related logins everywhere.

and you need to verify using the OTP on desktop sessions. and create a secondary 'application specific' password for mobile apps.

every application that uses the google password (gmail, youtube etc i suppose) would need its own different password!

you would need your mobile to be with you for every login!

they do provide some passwords that can be used once only for times you do not have a mobile with you.

if you lose these and your phone is no longer accessible, you are doomed 😕 i suppose you would have to recover your password using their system. sort of like that.

if they give this feature to personal gmail accounts then I would love to switch back to gmail

not available.What it does?If they can provide a feature not to change mobile number then that will do as well.

i would assume once you enable it, you would require your phone with already submitted number to change it to a new number 😕

considering they are really making it too hard to login even without your phone!

let me post some screenshots!

Are you using personal gmail?My point is not to allow change of mobile number once entered, so if someone get access that person can change all the security related options. So we will end up losing the account. and then our mobile will come to rescue.

this is regular gmail. not google apps. i dont get you. google would have to provide a way to let you change the number in case you are changing it (changing providers/lost phone). and in case your password and mobile are both lost to the same individual... i do not think google can help you out much!

Thats why I quit using gmail.
Since I am not using google apps, the day I have 2SV enabled, I will jump back to gmail.
