Presently I am using 849_NU....

I am getting lesser torrent speeds(around 512kbps)...
Seeds for the torrents are quite good...I don't know where the problem is:wall::wall:

Should I tweak my uTorrent settings...

Are u using PPPOE or Bridged mode? If u r using PPPOE... u will have to do port forwarding to get optimum speeds... with bridged mode, as all the ports are open... u will get good speeds.

it also depends on when you are downloading.... i usually get around 400kbps to 1 Mbps from 12 to around 2..... after 2 the speed usually reaches ~2Mbps.... Also a lot of people do have this problem of getting low speeds from 12 to 2/3 @ night..... That is one thing and the other thing as already pointed out by many people is port forwarding....

How much are you able to download in 8 hours (night period)?I download maximum 2.5 GB in one night.

hey venkz how do i know whether i am on bridge mode or pppoe mode...do help out with the port forwarding thing..coz i get a speed of 25kbps max...and after seeing ur speed i thnk i was a fool...so plz help guyzi mean i get 25 Kb/s as my download speed is it correct or less...i guess seeing on 192.168.1.1 in my mtnl connection ut showed mode as pppoe mode...wat should i do

Since you are on 2 mbps line you should be getting torrent speeds around 150-200 kbps (25kbps is way too low).Plz tell me the make of your ADSL.I know how to forward ports for D-Link 502t router.

Well if you havent done it already then set your global upload speed between 8-10KBps in utorrent and then try.I usually get speed of around 512Kbps dload when i have set 512 Kbps upload. But when I set upload to 8-10KBps (64-80Kbps) i get dload speed of full 200-210 KBps.Do remember to seed only during daytime as seeding 100 MB takes about 1 MB from your dload quota so that you can maintain your seed ratio near 1, plus its better for p2p community this way.

ya indrajeet thnx for the inf..i am using adsl 502t and when i checked in 192.1... it was showing my mtnl connection on pppoe mode so knw how i forward prots ...if poss tell me today so tht i can try out today night

hi Harsh,Follow the undermentioned steps to forward ports on 502t modem:1.log onto 192.168.1.12from the top bar choose Advanced3.from the left bar choose Virtual Server4.from the radio buttons choose user.5.from add, edit and delete, choose add.6.give any rule name, choose tcp udp in protocol.7.In port start, port end and port map enter the port no. you are using.8.click apply.9.from the left bar choose virtual server.10.choose user11.on the right side there is an add button pointing towards applied rules, select it.now your rule name will appear in applied rules12.choose apply and then logout. that's it.
