I have a DEN cable connection at home and they're bringing their Broadband to my area in the next 15 days. Would like some feedback on their network quality. I'm currently on a 2mbps Combo Unlimited plan from MTNL. How does DEN broadband fare on the following.

Line Quality
Downtime Response
Website blocking
Traffic Shaping

I'm fully satisfied with my current connection however moving to DEN will bring down my monthly bill from 2200 to 1500 while increasing my speed from 2 to 10 mbps at my current data usage slab.

Den is providing services under its own name? Doesn't it like own Triple Play?

I'm in Tilak Nagar area and the plan I like is 10mbps till 100GB and 512kbps afterwards for Rs.1499

Well I have been using Den Broadband for the past 2 weeks. Prior to using Den I was using Airtel. To be honest I am not satisfied with Den broadband. Since the past two weeks I have seen more outage in Den than the Airtel connection which I had in the past 4 years. In the last two weeks Den Brodband had no internet connection for two days and also 2 times it was out of connection for 3 to 4 hours. I am writing this review also because I have just got the connection after 4 hours of outage. I am planning to shift back to Airtel.

Just a FYI I stay in Indirapuram, SPS Residency.

Apparently MTNL has an option called Safe Custody where you can keep your connection is sleep state for a specified period of time. You will not be charged any rent, not even modem charges and you can resume your connection after the said period. I have done just that and taken a DEN Broadband connection from Sep 1st. I got a special offer on Aug 31st where they waived off activation charges if I paid the same day. As advertised I also got a free wifi router, its a TP-Link TL-WR740N.

My review:
Ping and Traceroute: DEN Broadband doesn't allow you to ping or traceroute any IP or website except for their own connectivity IP. Calling them didn't help as they think they are helping discourage DDOS attacks from their users. Ofcourse if you still want to use ping, you'll have to get a static IP from them which is paid.

Static IP: Unlike MTNL, DEN doesn't provide you with a static IP, you have to buy one from them for Rs. 2000 per year

Downtime: Its been 15 days since I started using this connection and till now I've faced downtime twice. Once around 2 or 3rd september, I got back from work at 3AM and the connection didn't work. I found no issues with the connectivity but no internet working at all. It started working automatically by the time I woke up at 11 AM next day. Second time it went down yesterday for a few minutes. I could ping their server fine but internet didn't work. It started working after a few minutes. No other downtime faced other than these 2 incidents

Speed: I'm getting average 10mbps as expected with a few data bursts going even higher. The highest burst I recorded was 17mbps.

Upload: Upload speed is claimed to be 1mbps however I haven't seen it reach even 512kbps. I am going to call them for this, I just didn't till now as I kept trying to get ping unblocked for free all this time, which obviously didn't work out.

Overall I'm quite satisfied with the connection however I'll hold my final decision on going back to MTNL till October 25th. As of today, it looks pretty likely that I'll continue with DEN.

Feel free to reach out for any questions.

Dont go with them, as the desired speed and connectivity issue is a major problem with them. In a particular day you will not be able to get connected to the internet due to there disconnection problems. I got stuck with them due to 2 months payment.

But I haven't faced any major problems or downtime in the last 20 days. If it keeps running this way, I may move to DEN permanently.

Can you give me their sales guy number? Pm me please
One more question, this is via ethernet cable or cable modem?

One more question, this is via ethernet cable or cable modem?

Outside its a normal cable that Cable Providers use for Cable TV. It goes into the cable modem, Ethernet comes out of cable modem and goes to the router which further provides wifi and 4 Ethernet ports.

I have been using it for a month now and would say that there is downtime say once in two to three weeks but then I can live with it for the speed and data ammount that they provide. Overall and average to good provider but not comparable to airtel.

Do you live in the Sant Garh inside Tilak Nagar, West Delhi?

These plans look expensive overall however the plan I got from DEN (10mbps - 100GB) is pretty much at a similar price. Good to have alternatives available if something goes wrong. However my connection has been running well. I have rarely faced issues with TV cable from this provider (Montoo Shah) and the Internet service quality till now has been on par with their TV services.

Yup live in tilak nagar, where do u live ?? which gali ??
lol,,,montoo shah cable service is too expensive compare to bhamra cable with same quality. About (10mbps- 100 gb) plan i allready took the plan @ Rs. 1500 including tax from ZEOnet but my usage is high so i shift to truely 2mbps unlimited plan and never face any downtime issue in almost 4 months. Soon montoo shah increase the price as he capture the market its his strategy. den cable is charging 220 in sant garh and 350 in vishnu garden he is looting customers.

Hi guys, I am currently on a MTNL broadband. My plan allows me download speed of 2Mbps upto 10GB, after which it falls down to 512kbps. This plan costs me around 1000Rs per month. I am thinking of switching to Den, they are offering speed of 10Mbps upto 30GB @ 999/- in my area, which is a great deal IMO. How is their network and customer service? How is the download speed?Any outages?
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Thanks
