I had Airtel Unlimited 699 (excluding tax) with 5GB high speed internet, post FUP only 256kbps. Now Airtel increased the monthly rent by Rs. 50.After paying more than Rs. 800, I am not able to download more than 5 GB. 256 kbps cannot be called broadband in today's world. Is there any chance of Airtel increasing the post FUP speed to 512kbps? Otherwise I have to go for BSNL Unlimited 750. Airtel sucks.

some people here reported that once they're applied for disconnection for broadband from airtel, they got a call from their customer retention dept offering them plans having post FUP speed of 512kbps. you might wanna do the same thing.

As far as I am concerned, a post-FUP speed of 256kbps or 512kbps does not matter to me. Why? Because, both are slow imo. That's like going 5 years back. So, I try to balance my high speed data quota to last for a month. If the post-FUP speed is like 1mbps, that would be a different situation.

I am from Salt Lake, Kolkata. Local cable operator provide PMPL broadband, not Alliance :(PMPL provides 1Mbps for Rs. 900+tax, thats costly.
