Thinking of getting this connection, can anyone using let me know if I get 899 plan what will be installation charges, modem charges etc ? We plan to use cordless..also already have act broadband so don't really need a broadband connection..
Andnd are calls truly unlimited ? Currently on mtnl and it's not worth it..tx

there is definitely a fup on calls. i cannot find the thread with details. but there is a limit on total minutes. there are also some requirements that you have to get incoming calls. and you cannot call more than x number of numbers per week/month. basically designed to prevent usage as a telephone booth.

Not sure anymore about the Installation charges. There might be a Rs 500 charge on VDSL modem though which will be charged at Rs 100/month in the following 5 bills.

would more or less depend upon the competition/demand in your area. you could get completely free install. or you could end up paying only for the router. bargain bargain bargain.

@Sushubh I am not clear with the calls limitations. Can you explain a bit?

from the looks of it... they might withdraw offer if you call 300+ unique numbers. and get less than 15 minutes of incoming calls to your landline.

I spoke with Airtel guy he is saying the connection is not compatible with cordless hmm ? Anyone using v fiber or what connection to take to be able to use cordless and get benefit of fixed rate bill for calling.

Strange. My friend has the basic 699 plan(Mumbai), he has Gigaset cordless which works fine.

Anyone know if any plan exist with Airtel under 1k or less a month just for telephone ?

checked airtel store. they still show 899 as the cheapest plan. your best bet is to get in touch with airtel salesperson for your area (look for brochures pasted on poles etc) and check with him if you can get the 599 plan on vfiber.

Well v fiber guy is saying instrument is fixed of Airtel and can't be moved or used with other instrument

Spoke on customer care the guy is saying any instrument can be used with v fiber..hmm
