There are 2 plans worth noting, which the majority will use, How do they stack up against each other?

The 2 main benefits of Jio 499.......... if your day usage is about 4 GB and willing to download at night
4 GB 4G data plus unlimited 4G data during night
Free unlimited local/STD voice calls
Free unlimited local/STD SMS

Jio 999.......... if your day usage is about 10 GB and willing to download at night
10 GB 4G data plus unlimited 4G data during night
Free unlimited local/STD voice calls
Free Jio app subscription worth Rs 1,250
Free unlimited local/STD SMS

night timings unknown as yet, if they get it wrong, then both plans are worthless......anything after 10Pm is a non starter

Bsnl 550
10GB anytime, no free calls or sms

Bsnl 1100
unlimited 3G anytime, no free calls or sms

Airtel 455
2 Gb anytime, no free calls or sms

Airtel 1000
10GB anytime, no free calls or sms

As of now Jio is far ahead, Bsnl has to make changes and Airtel coming in last 😛
Waiting for the other telcos to revise their prices

But JIO just messed it up, Plans aren't upto mark,Rather than focusing on add. benefits, they should have focused on data only.

As per my usage pattern if I have to chose, I will go with BSNL UL 1100 plan but their network is not so stable in my area(it toggles between 3G and H, speed in 3G mode is about 50KBPS and in H mode it touches 400KBPS)

The free download night timings are unknown............that can make or break both Jio plans.
There will be a strong response from others very soon, their survival is at stake.

On Sept 6th, everyone with a 4G phone will take the JIo sim for the free 3 months voice + data, so before that the other ISPs need to act.

Netloss of 900 ruppee to get JIOFI 7 days before the present users. That's sad thing but more so for JIOLINK users as these plans aren't upto mark. Like 149Rs 300MB seriously, That's surely made to get enough money from voice users. JIO apps for 15000 a year after DEC 2017 (It's not even available in pc only mobiles). If I play JIO play in medium quality then also data wont last for 2 hours for 2GB that is 299pack. I am thinking of 1099 Rs. UL plan from bsnl and then use JIO 299 plan for UL call ( As 300 MB would be surely insufficient )and the JIO APP ( via BSNL network if they work ) .But I am skeptical of the fact that , After JIO tariff launch Bsnl will surely take off its UL plan soon. Don't expect the high end data plans for JIOFI users, It would nearly be same and they haven't even given disconnect button in JIOFI, seriously they want us to keep data on all the time with the amount of data they are giving to us.

The impression I got was that the Jio 500 and 1000 plans were aimed directly at the Bsnl 550 and 1100 plans. Even the free calls advantage of Bsnl has been neutralised.
I will not be surprised if Bsnl/Airtel starts another round of price cuts. 😉

All incumbents have to compete with free calls and sms, which is going to be a very high barrier.

Hello Guys, i think most of you didn't understood the plans. In any case, for data you will be paying Rs 50/GB even if you are not on any plan. For example, if you are on Rs 149 Plan, you are getting 300 MB, but after that you will be charged 5 Paise / MB irrespective of Plan. So if you are not interested in calls go for Rs 50/GB. Also if you consider any other operator, they are charging for individual services. For example, in case of Airtel, Rs 149 for 350MB Data + Rs 120 Top Up (Average) + Rs 60(approx) for Tariff Cutter = Rs 330(approx) per month, so for Rs 330 per month you are getting approx 200 Min of calls and Limited 350 MB data after which you will be charged Rs 10.24/MB. Further, if you choose Jio's Rs 199 plan you get 750MB data and true unlimited night data, which i think will be between 12 AM- 7 AM. And i think in any case no operator will be able to match JIO prices.

Bsnl Super User, in the first post, I mentioned that it is for low day usge customers
If you get any offers from Rcom, feel free to post....... lets find out what is the best plan

kumar.nishant, other operators have to match Jio plans, if they want to survive

Why? I'm assuming that most people who care would be torrenting anyway.

Get like 4 sims, 4 old Airtel 4G modems, tether all of them to your computer and bond the connections. Your single stream will be 10Mbps or whatever each sim gets individually but anything that uses multiple connections will be able to utilise all 4 SIM connections at the same time for a theoretical max of 40Mbps since we used 10Mbps as the example.

I know I'm going to do that.

For the 4 sims, you're paying 199 *4 = 800 per month and you may not get 10 Mbps per sim
1 Bsnl sim with 300 bucks more = 24 hours download when you feel like

If it's a torrent, it can be scheduled. If not, then there are major problems.

This 2 to 5 shit changes everything, now only the 149 plan looks good to use unlimited voice and get data elsewhere. 😛

still confused, If 1GB will cost 50Rs. after exhaustion then whats the use of that 2000 and 5000 rupee plans ?

more data on wifi? probably good for people who travel a lot? otherwise the high end plans have a higher than rs. 50 per GB pricing.
