I finally closed my Reliance Broadband connection and got peace of mind. If anyone from RCOM reads this, I must have received around 10-15 calls from Reliance asking why I wanted to close this.

The plans and service are very good- when they work. However, I have had to complain to Reliance a minimum of twice a month about the connectivity going down. Quite often it has been more like once a week and one hardly knows when the connection is going to be available. If you use internet for anything important, you will need to have at least one back-up which is fast enough to use for the important stuff.

I have actually moved to a more expensive plan, from BSNL primarily because they are much more reliable. Reliance is cheaper, but ultimately, I ended up paying more in peace of mind.

I am posting this on the forum so that it helps others..

Just twice a month? I complain like 5 days every week 😀

Also good to see that someone called to ask why you are closing the connection. I thought only Airtel did that.

mine is bsnl i complaint 3 times a week on an average .they have no good customer care .my wire change complaint is pending for 5 months even a lot complaints ,grievances ,twitter complaint ,FB complaint ,phone complaint ,site complaint & office visit complaint .BSNL just don't care .i thought of taking reliance BB.

Sujeet, it may be a good thing to change providers for you, but Reliance is definitely not the one I would recommend to change to. Please ask around in your area. If many others in your area have had good experience with a particular ISP, then you should try and move to that ISP.

ok. can anyone tell me how easy is it to get rid of a reliance wired broadband connection?

Not that difficult actually. Write an emain to them at broadband@relianceada.com and ask them to close. In my experience, they called me several times trying to retain and then finally accepted the closure after a week. I am still have problems since they insist on my paying them 500 Rs for what was in effect a pre-paid connection( except for the phone calls, I was paying in advance) and hence already paid.
