Yep installed Hathway today, Cherri was stuttering with Disney+ 4k stream whilst Hathway streaming it like youtube from cache. 😳
fingers crossed hope it stays this way.

Jio's transit seems to be great, at least in chennai. Could also be due to our proximity to Bay of Bengal gateway.

Jio owns a submarine cable landing station in Chennai.
So they shouldn't have international bandwidth constraints atleast in Chennai.

I know a couple of colleagues with Jio fiber installed and haven't heard any slowdowns with their connections. They seem to like it enough and are willing to continue even after Jio launched their not so great paid plans.

Did hathway block ICMP echo for your as well or you're able to see IP's over trace route?

they have blocked ICMP and Telegram web.
my other gripe is self care page needing OTP every time.

LoL. Even Airtel's ADSL gives 2-6 Ms Ping but Jio's fiber fluctuates from 50 - 100 in Chennai and also the speed fluctuates a lot.

Yeah,I've heard lot about those issues.
Thier problem is that they've hired many clueless idiots to deploy thier network.
To have a proper network, they should first have a proper end network to thier gateway.
But that isn't the case,the latency to thier own gateway fluctuates very badly.

I'm afraid that's going to last until they rope in more paid customers and they in turn pressurize them to fix the network issues. Luckily there are no issues with hathway chennai till now. Connection quality is simply too good, better than airtel in most cases.

Yeah,I have heard very good things about Hathway.
The suntv cable (SCV) booted them out of chennai in a pretty dramatic way.
The management wanted Chennai so badly,so they made a well executed comeback.
