I'm haggling with TPF for a dumb ONT. So far they're claiming they've stopped providing ONT with any connection and its always the Nokia gateway.

But I have a different question. Even if I do get an ONT box and configure a mesh router network, will it still be CGNAT?

Yes. CGNAT definitely for ipv4. You do get public ipv6 though for all devices.

That's a shame. Although supported, consoles like PS and Xbox don't work well with IPv6 yet.

I'll have to look at Airtel but don't know what they're up to for FTTH.

Seems like you are into gaming. Airtel offers static ipv4 that you can purchase. It’s the easiest solution to the primary gaming annoyance - NAT
