Players who qualify for two teamsQuinton de Kock (SA) - Sunrisers Hyderabad/ Highveld LionsChris Lynn (Aus) - Sunrisers Hyderabad/ Brisbane HeatMichael Hussey (Aus) - Chennai Super Kings/ Perth ScorchersNathan McCullum (NZ) - Sunrisers Hyderabad/ Otago VoltsDwayne Bravo (WI) - Chennai Super Kings/ Trinidad & TobagoChris Morris (SA) - Chennai Super Kings/ Highveld LionsAlbie Morkel (SA) - Chennai Super Kings/ TitansNathan Coulter-Nile (Aus) - Mumbai Indians/ Perth ScorchersKieron Pollard (WI) - Mumbai Indians/ Trinidad & TobagoSamuel Badree (WI) - Rajasthan Royals/ Trinidad & TobagoKevon Cooper (WI) - Rajasthan Royals/ Trinidad & TobagoBrad Hogg (Aus) - Rajasthan Royals/ Perth ScorchersKumar Sangakkara (SL) - Sunrisers Hyderabad/ Kandurata MaroonsNuwan Kulasekara (SL) - Chennai Super Kings/ Kandurata Maroons
Kumar Sangakkara will have to choose between playing for Kandurata Maroons and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the upcoming Champions League T20 in India, after Sri Lanka Cricket have expressed a strong desire for him to represent Kandurata in the tournament. SLC has gone as far as seeking legal counsel on whether they can ask Sangakkara to play for Kandurata, even if it will effectively cost both Sangakkara and the board significant sums of money if he plays for his local team.
Also Malinga has ruled himself out of CL-T20

Most of them will opt for their respective I P L teams, reason better pay 😀

Right, but I am not sure, all will be selected by their respective IPL teams. I think there is a squad limit of 15? And most IPL teams select 6 or 7 overseas players. So 2-3 players may not even have to make a choice. Like Nuwan Kulasekara, Chris Lynn or Coulter-Nile.

Kumar Sangakkara has chosen to play for his local team, Kandurata Maroons, ahead of his IPL franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad, in the upcoming Champions League T20. Sangakkara told ESPNcricinfo that he was unhappy at being portrayed as someone who is putting personal gain over country loyalty by Sri Lanka Cricket, and so he decided to "absorb the considerable financial loss" that he will incur by not choosing his IPL team.Sangakkara lashed out at the Sri Lankan board, saying it had "inflamed the issue" with "well-placed comments in the media".
"I've decided to stay with Kandurata. SLC hasn't been able to broker the deal," he said. "Certain comments made to the media have twisted this into a country versus money issue, which it is definitely not, because this is a franchise-based tournament where franchises play franchises.
So , he is indirectly hinting he was forced to choose his club...

So, except Sangakarra also choose IPLteams

Also Kulasekara, I think was not selected by CSK, hence no "choice" to make as such.

also tendulkar playing the league after announcing retirement. ponting not considered even though he had stated this was his last tourney

Hmm.. Ponting said CPL will be his last somewhere..Remember reading Cricinfo, and even in CPL they started to not make him bat at all and just had him in playing XI.
Tendulkar on the other hand, may have meant his last IPL, but people may have convinced him to have this as final tournament - but again not sure.

Was expected.

The prevailing political tensions between India and Pakistan has meant that Pakistan's T20 champions, the Faisalabad Wolves, will not be travelling to India for the Champions League Twenty20 tournament that gets underway on the 17th of September. With less than a week to go, sources have told CNN-IBN that visas will not be granted to the team for the tournament. CNN-IBN has been told by government sources that security concerns have led to the decision.

This is surprising ..

Faisalabad Wolves, Pakistan's domestic Twenty20 champions, will travel to India to take part in the Champions League T20 after the Indian Embassy in Pakistan granted the players their visas following days of uncertainty.
The Faisalabad players had dispersed on Thursday evening from their training camp and went home assuming they would need time to pack if the visas were issued. The PCB had also told ESPNcricinfo that the visas had neither been issued nor denied. On Friday, the PCB asked the players to report at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore because the visas had been obtained, a Faisalabad player told ESPNricinfo.

Mumbai Indians qualify for the semis after beating Perth comprehensively. They needed to achieve the target in 14.2 overs which they did thanks to some incredible hitting by first Dwayne Smith and then captain Rohit Sharma. Rayudu finished the game by hitting two consecutive sixes. In spite of one match being washed out, MI have done well to qualify for the semis.

So it would be IPL teams (RR Vs MI) again battling out for CLT20 final. I was hoping that some day 2 non-Indian T20 teams reach CLT20 finals 😀
