Can I watch TV channels without Airtel Xstream media box?

Hey, I am thinking about getting Airtel Fiber connection in Ghaziabad. They said that if i pay for 3 months (799*3 + GST) then there wont be any installation and activation charges. I read it here someone said that even paying for 6 month for 499 plans also gets you free installation and activation BUT my airtel guy said no to that

Anyways I want to know few things that I am confused about:

1. What channels/apps are provided with connection of 499 and 799 ? Any good channels/apps or are they all garbage ones that no one watches.
Any Live channels?

2. I have MI android TV. Do I NEED to get their XStream STB (Which requires 1500 security and 153 charge every month minimum) to watch these channels? Or can I just install their xtreme app (or whatever it is called) on my TV and watch directly?? (Sorry I dont know much about these andoid TVs and how these apps work)

3. I know Airtel provides speed little higher than the promised one so I wanna know what speed can i expect on the 40 mbps plan. I guess something around 45-50?

4. Pretty sure download and upload speeds are symmetrical but still just wanna confirm?

5 On JIO reddit and few other sites response is very slow. Are things better on airtel??

The airtel Xstream app on Android tv doesn't have option of live tv channels. You get access only to their movies & shows collection. For watching live tv you either need to buy hybrid set top boxes like airtel xstream, Tata Sky binge+ or use third party apps like Thop tv.

Xstream Box is a smart DTH box. Active DTH connection is mandatory to use it and you need to pay extra for that. It is a big scam. No channel is offered free with the broadband connection.
Xstream app on Google TV (it does not work on firestick) does not have any live channel. However, Xstream app on mobile and on PC browser provides live channels. To watch on TV, you will need to open bon PC/laptop browser and then display on TV using HDMI.

If you have smart tv just load appropriate OTT app. IF you have a dumb TV, get a firestick. However, you will have to subscribe to get live tv.

You can side load xstream mobile app in mi tv box and watch live tv.

Yes , they give little extra speed than what they promissed. Bcz we are paying extra.
" jio 100 mbps is 699 and Airtel is 799" ( in jio we will get 96-98 and in airtel 105-110)

Airtel service is good.
But check who is maintaning in your area. If it's not airtel, check for service in your area.

At my area it is bad, bcz they given it to lco.

So do i need some additional xstream app subscription to watch live channels using Xstream mobile app?? Or will it automatically work if i have their broadband fiber plan, (say 499 or 799)?

Edit: Ok so I just installed xstream app on my andoid mobile and logged in using my airtel mobile number and it SAID i have premium subscription till 2099. huh?? (Though I cant find anything about my current active plan details in the app like for how long my plan is active for and what kind of plan do i have) So do they provide free xstream sub to those who have airtel mobile numbers??? Also in app I get the option to upgrade my plan to "Xstream Android TV plan" for 499 for a year. But on this plan buy page it says - Plan: "Airtel Xstream Premium - 365 Days", No mention of TV or anything. Also If I already am a premium subscriber (for no reason lol) then why buy it again?

^ Well I only have Airtel prepaid connection and I think even us get free sub to Xstream premium if recharged with 199+ prepaid mobile plans. I didnt know they were giving access to their mobile users for free. Still dont believe it.
