BSNL - EVDO - Usage - Review and everything about it

I know its a old school connection , about 4 years old but till now there isnt a better wireless plan compared to this till now

Rs 750 Pm True Unlimited . Prepaid

Pros:
1. True Unlimited no FUPs - i download around 100-150 Gbs a month, i can download upto 200-300 Gbs but i run out of files
2. Priced cheap compared to others , when they charge Rs 1000 with 10 Gb FUP
3. U dont have to talk to the customer care ever

Cons:
1. it has too many
2. Coverage is too thin , forget about slow speed there are places where u wont get any service at all
3. u just cannot walk to a BSNL office and buy this sim , because 70% of them doesnt know there is a service like this
4. CDMA
5. Availability of CDMA- EVDO modems in the market
6. Recharge Problems , those STVs mentioned on the site dont work most of the time ( lost Rs 1000 over online Recharge couple of times)

even after all the above i just love this connection , its prepaid and costs 750 pm , unlimited
have nice coverage in my town , so always get 1-2mbps , but dont ask about the ping or latency values 😡

with this connection i have never thought about another connection for 3 years now .

have some doubts ? want details ? ask it here

happy to help

Max speed , remind u that my device supports upto 3.1mbps only

Recharge:
recharge for Rs 20 for 6 months validity , make with a retailer if he says this amount is not available insist that it works
topup for any amount you like , every 30 days the rental would get deducted automatically

Useful link:
CDMA Customer Portal: Login

register your prepaid no in this portal and get the recharge offers and convert ur talktime to validity and change your plan

made a recharge for evdo on Paytm , which failed
paytm denied that they didnt have any issue from their side it was the with the network provider
after a month now , got a refund yesterday

Hi

I’m Christopher and I’m gonna do my best to work with you to solve this problem. I understand that your recharge did not go through even though the amount was deducted from your bank account. I feel terrible you had to experience that. We’ve checked and realized the recharge was unsuccessful due to a glitch with BSNL.

You can relax because Rs. 500.00 is stored safely as Paytm Cash. We’ve made the money available to you for immediate use next time you’re on Paytm.com. You have the option of refunding the amount to your bank account which could take up to 21 days to reflect.

Paytm Cash allows you to recharge in less than 7 seconds! Here’s how:

1) Sign in to ‘Your account’ at www.paytm.com.
2) Enter your recharge details and ‘Proceed to recharge’.
3) You can pick some discount coupons or ‘Proceed to pay’.
4) Check Paytm Cash is selected as a payment option and ‘Recharge Now’.

Recharge processed and you’re done.

The reason we recommend Paytm Cash recharges is because it’s fast leaves little or no room for technical errors.

I hope this information was helpful, otherwise simply hit that reply button and tell me what more can I do to help.

I care,
Christopher

Hey, I would like to know about BSNL evdo. -Is it Unlimited for Rs.750? - If so what are the maximum speeds offered by it? - Also, is the unlimited speed offered only up to a specific usage and then does the speed drop down? -Do we need a land line to get this connection? -What is the procedure to apply for this connection? - Could you specify a few offices in Chennai? Thanks 🙂

Does bsnl gives us a free demo before purchasing evdo datacard ?please reply because i want to buy evdo datacard asap i'm from nashik maharashtra

is bsnl providing free demo before purchasing the evdo modem ? in your circle

bsnl never gives any demo , but if u have bsnl franchise in ur area u can enquire with them
i got a demo from one of the franchise
but that was 3 years back 🙂

Hey man thanks for the valuable information. I think it's better to go for EVDO since it's cheap, unlimited and wireless. And I hope it'll be available in any one of the BSNL offices. 🙂

I used it for a few days(courtesy -my friend). GOD...horrible speeds even though the signals are touchwood. @Mediafire...ur one of the few luckiest users of it..anyway..enjoy with what u got
