Blogger application and flexibility to edit HTML makes blog more interactive.

Blogger is good actually cool for everyone who likes blogging let it be professionals doing it for a long time or let it be newbies.

Is there anything like if we host our blog with blogger.com, Google will give more importance to it if it contains good and informative content?

nope. nothing like that. blogger host some of the biggest spam networks on the web today. google does not give any special preference to blogger hosted blogs.

That's great, because i have noticed some bloggers who are posting spam links and duplicate posts on their blogs are loosing their accounts from couple of last days. Free blogs are just an easy way to generate backlinks in short time and i think it must me controlled somewhere.

google hates incoming links which are from irrelevent sites or looks like paid ones. it would simply ignore link farms which do not have any value in terms of credibility. these kind of tactics used to work in the past. not anymore.

Wanted to post about this bug I noticed on Blogger.

I was trying to import a WordPress export file on Blogger.

Blogger gives this cryptic error message without explaining the actual reason behind the problem.

The cause of this problem is incompatibility between WordPress and Blogger backup XML file structure.

A simple solution is to use Wordpress2Blogger conversion utility to convert the file from WordPress format to Blogger format.

This free service works for blogs with 1MB backup file. For larger files, you would have to make copies of the backup files and remove different chunks of posts from each. This way you would have to generate multiple copies for import on Blogger.

I really wish Google could do this on their own. Having a truly functional import system is very critical for any service facing solid rivals.
