Some recent decisions by Google has completely turned around the way guys like me looked at Blogger. Now it sports no advertis€m€nts… Google’s own adsense block is history and instead we have a cool looking bar that adds Google site search to the Blog. Other than that users get to surf around other Blogger based Blogs using the toolbar itself. Bloggers get to Blog using the BlogIt button.

And well, the new templates that were added to the Blogger services are some of the coolest skins available in free Blogging services. They now look really nice. Though it still lack some basic features like categories or community tools, it is very easy for a new user to start blogging. Google has certainly made it from something not so good into something really cool. And the fact that now users can use their own personal adsense codes… it is like paying people to Blog

Blogger is now surprisingly cool

zactly. wordpress had a blogger importer since long. i am sure others would have it as well. other than that, there is no requirement of taking backups of your blog. it is very unlikely that google would ban your blogger account. they take the care of backups... hacked account is another story however.

i hv labelled my posts....now i wnt to show the labels in my right pane.....how can i do that?i m using the old blogger.

As far as I know old Blogger didn't have label functionality - people would use Technorati related hacks for that. I didn't know old Blogger was still operational, thot they upgraded all blogs when they left beta.

You cant have labels in Old Blogger. Just try to apply for Beta Blogger.Once they upgrade you to beta then you can have labels.
