Guys please suggest me an android phone within Rs.20000/-Requirements-1.Largest display possible.2.Android ICS OS.3.1 GHz processor.4.Good graphics to play games.

For LG Nexus 4, is there SD card slot? That in itself is a HUGE deal breaker as you would be stuck with punny 8GB for it's life.

Also issues about the build quality are popping up.

Any other option from Samsung...what about Galaxy S advanced?

Here is what I am going to say…

If you care about getting timely updates, wait for Nexus 4 units to arrive in the market through the imported route. Should be easily available for around 20-22K.

If you care about warranty, look at Xperia S or a similar phone in this price range. But these devices have nothing on the Nexus 4 which should do well in India if imported units are easily available.

Around 20K range is a rather complicated on to pick a model. Xperia S is good. Galaxy S Advance is also fine. HTC models are avoidable in this segment of the market.

right. 20K segment would have a generation old model when it comes to devices with warranty. best would be to get an imported unit if you need the best value for your money :\

nexus 4 does not have a sd card slot. and 32GB edition would probably arrive early next year to bump the sales once again. right now the best option is to get the 16GB version if you need more storage. for someone like me, a 8GB model would be more than enough as i do not download huge games or keep music or movies on the phone. there is a simple reason why nexus devices do not have a sd card. 8GB model allow google to keep the price of the base model low. if it had a sd card slot, people would see no point in paying a premium for the 16GB edition.

How does that fix the problem with people prefering to go for the lowest end model? how many iPhone users would buy the 32GB or 64GB variant if it had a sd card slot? it is all about economics. you entice consumers to go for the higher end model to boost profitability while still having a version with an attractive low price. Why does Apple drop storage on older editions to 8GB? because it makes it useless for any serious mobile user pushing them to pay a premium for the latest model.

Because they already have more than enough profitability at the prices at which they are planning on selling in these markets? Same reason why Samsung sells 16 and 32GB version of the note and s3.

I am guessing adding sd card support to the device would require additional code in the android builds thus further fragmenting it (gsm/cdma/carrier-specific models). Samsung has SD card support on their Galaxy Series. LG probably has SD card support on their own Optimus series. Nexus is one model per year based on Google requirements. Nexus S/Galaxy Nexus did not have SD card. Nexus 4 does not have it. Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 also probably does not have it.And there is never 'enough profitability' for a company with investors to please.

I have seen that there is no urgent need of having more than 8 GB of storage.I have seen that more RAM, better the mobile responses.I have seen that more fast CPU, not much difference in Android if you are ordinary user. Gamers need better cpuz and graphic chips.Hence if any one wants, buy a mobile with more or atleast 1 GB RAM, 1 GHz CPU, DUal, quad, graphic chip would be advantage, atleast 1600 amp battery and latest OS of android with atleast 4 inch 16 million color display with gorilla glass & 8MP camera with AF and front 1.3MP cam. Of cource the sensors are need. more sensors the better.

i can survive with 8GB as i do not play games. i store my songs on google music. do not really listen to music on the move. just need some basic apps. primary need is communicating on the move. but folks like samuel etc who keep their music libraries with them on the move? 8GB is too little 😉
