1. recently purchased Belkin n150 basic modem+router+wifi for a offsite office, everything's fine.. all's working, only thing is i can't seem to locate it's adsl connection mode setting page!! it's just not there in the menu.. does anyone know where/how to access those settings??*It also mentions on the box, support for VPN (pptp and IPsec) which made me buy this device, n i'm like hello?? where are all the promised features?? NO. it's not a duplicate device, checked, YES i did update the firmware, no luck! :sarcastic:2. Does bsnl block ports? Every ISP blocks few ports I know, but is anyone aware of any specific port that bsnl blocks? I'm trying to connect to my IP printer over the net ( has been accomplished before, diff ISP same printer) and it just would pass 9100 (port foward already done); firewalls off; antivirus off; router firewall OFF! Just cant get through!

Are you kidding me?

Honest mistake. The other option was iball. VPN feature mislead me.. With the vpn thing I was like wow.. Won't have to leave a PC on all the time.. Know where in the config is the Adsl mode page located? It doesn't even say the Adsl mode it connects on.

Belkin, ok, range is pretty decent. Uplink performance is better than downlink. The connection drops frequently on most devices which is very frustrating. You need to restart the router to get it working again sometimes. I've only used a wifi router, no idea about the adsl part. Have you contacted tech support? Also, check whether DD wrt is supported (my old Belkin didn't support it). Flawless VPN support that has. Frankly, something from TP-Link would have cost the same (or even lesser) and would've been a lot better.

I bought a new modem because my Utstarcom had to be restated frequently.. TP-Link was on display too.. I feel like an idiot now!yep, just mailed tech team

yes, unsupported. Only three hopes, Belkin tech team mails me a "magical" firmware, it functions basic stuff bug free, or i find someone foolish enough to swap it with me.

I think you're getting the default/basic modem administration page with your current user-name/pass combo. There might be an advanced admin page you can get with super-admin/pass combo.Default user-name/pass -> Basic interfaceHigher access control level with super-admin user-name/pass -> Advanced interfaceTelnet your modem > see if you can grab the hidden user infoORExport your modem config. open it with a *.txt viewer/editor > If user-name/pass are saved in unencrypted text form > Grab it from thereORAsk Belkin tech support about it...For e.g.:My D-Link modem has two access levels:U/P -> admin/password -> Basic ModeU/P -> root/adslcpe -> Advanced Mode

you've given me a golden hope!!well.. tech team hasn't replied or even acknowledged receiving a mail.tried few passwords.. no luck other than the default leave blank. google didnt show diff levels of access for it either.. modem does not respond to telnet, closes the connection, no option to edit settings 😛

modem does not respond to telnet, closes the connection

Almost all modems/routers support telnet to the default IP, out of the box. But this one is acting funny!
Might be an issue where 'allow telnet connection' is unchecked/disabled in the interface.

no option to edit settings

Is there any menu/option in the interface to export the current configuration off of it?

This is too much effort for a newly bought peripheral :russianroulette:. It doesn't provide enough options to manage the advertised connectivity options. You can try replacing it from your vendor. If your vendor disagrees, take it up with Belkin.

Get your money back, if it doesn't work

well, aside the fact that is doesn't allow config, its working fine.. lemme see, if it acts up, i'd go for money back

i thought the same, no option to allow telnet connection either!

it does export the config, but in .conf extention.. tried it, its mostly encrypted with my pppoe and port forwarding info, thats about it.

This one's like a router custom made for girls, they cant mess up anything, coz nothing's there!
