Hi,

I'm living in a small town in Madhya Pradesh. Currently using ADSL+ and the line rate I'm getting is pretty good 20mbps (299/291 plan).

However, I want to ask BSNL to make my area feasible for FTTH as I already got in touch with AGM of my SSA (the information is available online). My question is what is the cost of the hardware used for FTTH?

I'm hoping it's only OLT

Hi. I hope your town has a user-base enough to make FTTH feasible for a company. But, BSNL Fiber might be better than BSNL ADSL but it's low grade what I have read on forum.

As an FTTH customer, I can say firsthand that overall experience on BSNL FTTH is very average. It's not at ALL comparable to private companies like Airtel etc. I'd say you can give it a shot, but only if you don't have any other alternatives.

Oh okay good for you, then LOL! The only problem might be actually getting the connection, because they might reject your application if not many people are interested in taking FTTH
