I got touched with Usenet 1 month ago, it seems to be providing a great speed just different from torrent.Torrents run with protocol and Usenet runs with server client.Anyone of you tried it? I am using Giganews to access usenet but the problem seems to be the DMCA....mostly every file gets deleted there because of copyrighted material.
 
Try astraweb. Used to be pretty good.
 
I dunno, could you tell me what is the speciality of Usenet? I heard they have special servers. Do you get speed more what your ISP gives?
 
1. Its paid2. Download from dedicated servers3. You cannot exceed the speed offered by your ISP4. Not that it matters here, but unlike torrents, newsgroups aren't throttled per se
