Just shifted to airtel vdsl today ( 80gb@40mbps) and was given a beetel router/modem( i know I've read the reviews on here and am sceptical, but haven't faced any difficulties on the first day)
So any guides on how to make use of my TP-Link, which is relatively new,and at the same time extend my WiFi range wirelessly? Already tried the access point method by connecting the two routers using a LAN cable but then since they're close it defeats the purpose. Wouldn't want a run a 20ft wire across rooms for this.

better purchase cheap Tenda routers which have range extender facility because if your router don't have Repeater option then only option you have is flashing it with DD-WRT but it's risky.

@Sidharth you can use wds option in ur router to use it as a range extender.
Plz refer to screenshot for more details.

Tried doing it for more than an hour. Ultimately figured out that it can't be done wirelessly unless i flash it. It doesn't have the client bridge mode, so it can only be the root router.
