Amazon Alexa Notification Spam on Echo

Mom called and said that Echo is showing green light.
I assumed some friend sent a message as part of prank.
Checked messages. Nothing. Echo tells me that I have a notification.
Turned out the notification was about the start of the IPL season and Echo wanted me to get alerts through it.

Now searching for how to disable notifications in Alexa app.

Yeah, they are also spamming on FireTV stick notifications section, for messages/ad about using Amazon photos service. Don't see an option anywhere to disable that.
 
not sure if it's new. but my echo is now lighting up after deliveries from Amazon store. it's pretty annoying because the light stays on till i dismiss the notification. need to check if it can be disabled.
