ADSL and ADSL2+ for BSNL BB

Hi, I have a 4Mbps Broadband connection from BSNL. However the best test speed i have got is never more than 2Mbps. I have an ADSL modem UT-300R2U. What i want to know is that, will installing an ADSL2+ modem increase the speed? Because BSNL architecture is based on ADSL only as per their site. Has anybody tried it? does anybody get a 4Mbps speed on BSNL line?
 
Yep, I do get 4mbps. Post your line stats.
