Tata Sky is locked in a battle with Sun over the channels it must be allowed to pick. They dont agree to all the channels offered by Sun TV. Good this is the way to go. Recently they armed with a Tdsat order knocked off a few Zee channels. However when it comes to their own customers I wonder why they dont allow this same freedom? Why are we subjected to 'their' packages and not what we want? I know this is just a take off on my earlier posts but I just wanted to illustrate how customers continue to get ripped all the time. by the way incase you didnt know Tata Sky is taking on Sun on our behalf!!😛 BBc Entertainment the new addition seems OK if you like the British sense of humour. Kumars at No.42 on Star World is an example.

I asked the same question to the customer care person he didnt have the reply :yahoo:

I love British comedy (Coupling, 'Allo 'Allo, Yes Minister, Goodness Gracious Me, etc.) so I hope they'll have some new comedy serials.

The operative word here is *get* instead of like.

Mr. Bean isn't really in the same category btw. A more watered down for international consumption thing.

No, I'm talking about just expert use of the language and its quirks & slangs. Which unfortunately requires an understanding of british culture to appreciate.

Once you *get* it, you realise how superior it is to anything else out there.

I thought BBC Entertainment was going to be a 12 hour channel just in the beginning, but from the articles on indiantelevision and elsewhere i don't think they're going 24 hours soon 🙁That's really weird as theyre 24 hours everywhere else in the world. And they keep repeating the same few shows. 🙁Hope they do something about it soon

Nope. In the UK it is also a 12 hour channel. I really like some of the shows that are on it. Like Fawlty Towers... Extras... and My Family.Fawlty Towers is only 12 epsiodes long so lets see what new shows they get after that.

BBC Entertainment doesn't broadcast in the UK.
The BBC channels in the UK are BBC One/Two/Three/Four, BBC News24, BBC Parliament, CBeebies, CBBC
BBC Entertainment is an international channel run by BBC Worldwide, the commerical arm of the BBC.

As for Asia and elsewhere, check the channels official website BBC Entertainment - choose your country
Choose your country as Singapore, Thailand or Malaysia and check the schedules. All 24 hours.

CBeebies though runs for about 12 hours in the UK.

I'm sure BBC Entertainment is in a testing phase and hence the 12 hour span. Once it launches officially then it will go 24/7.
