Not being upgraded to bb client 2.7

Hi everyone i was awaiting for my bb client to be upgraded to 2.7 from 2.61. As they told it would be upgraded automatically. It hasnt been upgraded. I have even sent them mail. But no response. As my client still remains 2.61. And another thing is Should i tick the option to Allow remote assistance invitations to be sent from my computer. Can you tell me due to not allowing remote invitations from my computer the client isnt getting upgrading. please give solution

errm i think the new version is a bad news for sify broadband users. 😕

Don't change your remote assistance settings! The bbclient will update whenever Sify in your area gets it.

it has nothing to do with remote invitations,
remote invitations is used for contacting other windows xp computers generally for troubleshooting purpose
to upgrade bb client ,use this url=

Anyway there's nothing gr8 in new client

however there's one new good feature

U can renew via CREDIT CARD while offline....meaning even if ur account has expired

That's really good deal

U can logon to citibank gateway while offline

I downloaded from the above link. But the client gave me error to install some html file. Also it did not work for me i had to install 2.61 version back to come here and write to you guys. Sify is now gone crazy. Cant a simple layman change the date to remove the confusion? it says 30th may it will be auto upgraded to 2.70 version. The msg also has lot of confusion of version 6 IP and god know why they wrote to a oridinary customer every time we log on? cant they use email? Have they really gone crazy? After 30th May comes 31st May. Today - 1st June I could not resist my fingers to write here to remove all my anger.......... this forum is place where some one actually reads and understands sify better. Sify employees have no clue what their so called engineers aer doing with a BROADBAND CLIENT!!!. They are developing a NARROWBAND Client ver 2.70 which already has more bugs then 2.61 version. I have just tested it on XP....more realiable MS product. God knows what will happed when 2.70 meets win 98? 😉

I have Windows 98 and it works fine, the same as 2.61, no extra problems other than taking ages to open (though the time has got reduced from taking 2 minutes to around 10 seconds LOL).Anyway the logic that Windows XP is better than Windows 98 and if BB client is crap on it then it will be worse on Windows 98 isn't logical because there is no IPv6 issue on Windows 98 :lol: (Windows 98 is old). I think the troubles have to do with the IPv6 thing on WinXP though it's just my observed opinion.

mine's also not upgraded i might as well check it out from boys link....

Since my cto hasn't updated to the new one, the new 2.7 client was detected as older version by 2.6 version. I got a message remote updatin to latest one....so i am back to 2.6....wow magic.some really smart programmin there.
