I am seeing a Rs. 40 shipping charge on tons of items being sold by WS Retail.

Why is there a shipping charge for this item?
Sellers with Flipkart Advantage waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For all Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Advantage may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

So... For me the shipping charges are only visible on product pages but disappears in cart.
For @Navjot Singh, his First subscription appears to have disappeared completely five months before actual expiry.

Looks like retardation on Flipkart servers.

I had reported in other thread few days back that for some products WS retail may not be offering Flipkart advantage badge.

The issue I am describing is related to how Flipkart website behaves like you do not have First subscription at all. Even though it is active.

Hmm, may be they are slowly slowly changing terms. Earlier WS retail was waiving of delivery charges.

Now Flipkart is trying to fetch more and more sellers and reducing dependence of WS retail.

So may be thats why they added subject to seller's discretion.

As I mentioned above... For me this appears to be a bug on their website. Cart does not show the shipping charges.

Yes what I mean is that for old First customers previous terms will apply till expiry.

For new First customers 500Rs and seller's discretion will apply.

^Is that mentioned somewhere? Pretty bad, though.

@chromaniac

For me, its always been like this. Product page shows whatever shipping charges there are, cart shows actual shipping charges, if any. Though I haven't used flipkart in a long while, and I hopefully intend to keep things that way [emoji14]

I had a First subscription, but Flipkart slowly started adding delivery charges(by that, I mean, they increased the minimum amount for free delivery considerably). Now I just use Amazon. They're also a lot better about returns and refunds.

I am just guessing based on what @chromaniac is reporting. And also based on the answer to "Why is there a shipping charge for this item?" given on first post.

I wasn't planning to renew it anyways. It's hard to find cheapo things which are being sold by ws retail.
