wow, "dtmf to fsk converter" = Caller ID

Thanks for educating me. Sushubh has bought something similar for his Panasonic KX TG6511 DECT Cordless phone (US make).
 
I have not. It was costing around 800 rupees when I last checked. Did not see the value.
 
why not get a separate caller id device.
i took out an old one after taking airtel LL. brought it from Karol bagh 200-500rs.

though last digit of display is dead but still gives the rough idea, no is known or not.

No idea if it was sarcasm or not. Assuming it was not-

Dtmf to fsk is not a called id. Dtmf and fsk are caller id standards. India uses dtmf and some other countries use fsk. Thus phones bought from those countries cannot read the dtmf transmitted in India. The product just converts the signal to display the called id.
