Citibank and HSBC might be cheating you!

DGIR had found that both banks were allegedly delaying delivery of bills and realisation of cheques toward payment just to charge increased interest rate, late fee and fine etc.

I had a similar case earlier this month. I also have a credit card coming soon from HSBC. I plan to cancel both these cards 😛 and stick to my ICICI one. 😗

ICICI had issued me credit card and i didnt even know abt it! Came to knwo abt it when they sent some bank charge of 250+ Rs after abt 4-5 months. but i called them and they cancelled it without much fuss. they said it was some promotional scheme and it was issued for free!!! i forgot what charge it was but anyway i didnt have to pay anything.btw i dont use credit card but easiest way to prevent such fraud is to make date of delivery valid one instead of date of issue. or making strict policy that date of delivery shud be no more than say 3days then date of issue. else customer wud not be considered responsible.

HSBC does me the honor of mailing me a credit card at regular intervals on their own initiative. I went through the trouble of talking to their reps the first two times but now as soon as I get one of these beauties in the mail I just let a pair of scissors do the talking. :cool2:

its better to get it cancelled. u dont want that someday some1 gets hold of number somehow and starts living lavishly on ur money. lol. its not easy but its not impossible.
