How to apply for Voter ID Card online (or offline)?

Hello friends,
I just some info about how to get voter id online?
I searched on internet and many says to register on http://eci.nic.in/.
After registering here will i get voter id card or just my name will be included in voters list?

also election commission is seeking for AADHAR number to link with voter id cards to avoid duplicacy, also the name of all minors,aadhar holders will be entered to the voter list at the moment thay become 18yrs old

my info was updated many years ago 🙁 i would hate to take the route of filing an fir reporting my id card as lost to apply for a new one.

I am not sure if that goes against the Supreme Court ruling. Personally I am not bothered till it directly affects me. I do not see it affecting me for a while.

I'm 18, and my name is not yet added to voters list(Just now checked on voters website) even though my dad has a driving license, passport, adhaar card, voters id and all other forms of identity verification

See as your father has all ID cards it does not mean your name will be added to list automatically that all are for his identity purpose. Have you enrolled for AADHAR? if not enroll for it. If you dont have enough documents your father can work as introducer to get AADHAR(can't recall the exact word).
If you have AADHAR, download e-aadhar and convert it to JPEG and upload as address and id proof and register in voter list.
Don't wait Election Commission to add you automatically on basis of AADHAR
