Worst ServiceI have booked new connection on 28th April.. But still now i did not even get single response about my application status.. I am Keep on calling Customer care (Executives!!!???) .. But no one knows my application status.. not only me in my office some of others also booked(some are living center of the city).. no one get a connection and response..One of the Worst service I have ever even in my life..I think Connection coming by ship from singapore..not in the cable....

Had anybody else also faced similar problem ?? If yes pls tell . I have just applied for the connection yesterday and can stop the cheque from clearing 😀

No I have applied for Arumbakkam(chennai) and one of my friend applied for Tenampet (Center of the city) Area.. no one getting.. i have all the list of customer care service number and name.. but no use.. whenever i call him each one saying different answer.. consolidated answer is they are doing some feasability check in every area.. cable instalation not yet completed.. so it will take another one or two month.. As far as my understanding they opened the scheme with out completing their work.. please let me know if any one got a connection in chennai.. I think no one will get it..

After looooooooooooongggggggg time i got a status of my application.. Now they are telling that it not feasable in my area.. they asked me to get a money... I asked them before collecting the amount why did not validate.. they said "Sir I am in Help Desk i dont know anything about this..I droped all my plan .. Also i enquired Airtel... there is no service in my area.. So Those who are in chennai.. pls suggest me to take better broadband connection.. i have two option Sift and BSNL.. which one i better..ThanksJay

OH NO!! if a person from central/south chennai cant get it, how in hell will a guy from North chennai get it?????

Damn, the Tata guys called me today and told me they are coming with the forms tomorrow, does that mean i shouldnt pay them anything until after they have comfirmed that they can provide me with a connection???

Ok, gotta look at Reliance, Sify and BSNL.....

My Suggestion is 1. If you have BSNL landline apply for broadband (with Rental Modam) use the service until Tata Indicom come up with clear solution.2. If you dont have a BSNL better apply for one( It cost come around 1000 deposit.. Also STD rates are slased.. ) along with broadband with rental..Also I have enquired Airtel.. They dont have a service in most of the area(Even in annanagar partially covered)...Hope you all know about SIFY ( non refundable deposit alone 3000 to 5000). Its very difficult to come back after you get a connection..)Better go with BSNL.. This is what i am going to do..

My experiance is i) If you have bsnl, go with dataoneii) If you have patience and your area is feasible go with tata indicomiii) If bharathi is available, take broadband and phoneiv) Better go to surfing center than paying sify. You can see the hell on earth after getting sify connection All broadband connections come with no support. Useless help desk. All companies wanted to get more money with leased lines. I heard bharathi is better. Bharathi concentrate only in certain areas, which is also bad.

At Last I received my amount.. They said there is no port available in my area(even in center of the chennai) most of the center chennai area are not covered. it will take more than a month.. I went to VSNL office collected my amount. Thanks to Siva(Sales Manager) for given a proper response and return a money.

That's why I would always recommend DataOne.The Government's broadband connection seems to outperform the private players within 5 months of its launch."Just get it !", in the Nike style.

But their help desk isnt good enough...Now let me confess this (although i dint want coz it puts a negative effect on people).Since the past 10 days or so i have been experiencing dead slow speeds around 50-60 kbps in the peak hours. When i called up their help desk 8 days back they said they will look into the problem. Then for the next 2 days the BSNL guys called up and said that every thing was fine from their side but then i said to them that the prob. was still not rectified. They said they will still 'check'. After that i gave a call to the help line no. again to re-complain and u know what the CTO says ' Sir, the tech. people called u isnt it' and i replied saying that the prob. wasnt rectified yet and the tech people knew it .And now she says that she will forward the complain once again and assures me that if this time in no action is taken she will give me the tel. no. of THE HIGHER AUTHORITY. And as expected no action was taken so i had to ring up the CTO once again for that number. The number which was given to me was of the Area Manager and when i ring her up she takes my tel. no and forwards it immediately to some tech guy who gives me a call back with in 5 mins. He says he will come and check the connection at my home. With in another 10 mins i reccv another call from my local exchagne asking me the prob. i say that my speeds are getting crapy during peak hours and remains good in offpeak hours. He says it some server prob (server gets busy in peak hrs) and will get rectifed in 1-2 days and asks me NOT TO COMPLAIN again till prob. is sorted out. That day was Friday and today is Tuesday..still no action taken.....Now i have decided to go to my local exchange and find out the status of my prob.I get good speeds from 12am till 9 am but thas too late......So i usually leave the system ON overnight if i have to make downloads but hope the connection improves soon.....Let me be frank....this is the first time i have experienced this kind of prolonged prob. other wise conenction is good. There have no downtimes yet (but connection is too slow right now around 50-60 kbps)

i live in chrompet, chennai. airtel dosent cater to this area. i didnt have a bsnl phone. so i got a tata indicom broadband connection in april. My happiness was shortlived.within a weeks time i found that there was unusually high uploads (180 mb per day). called up customer service, they told thatz a virus. i formatted my computer, ran virus check, did spyware check disconnected modem from computer, reset my password, still there was heavy uploads.customer service call center is in hyderabad and that is pathetic, all they can do is generate a complaint #. called up chennai office, field engineer promises to check the premises, but dosent show up.IMHO, tata indicom is still in business because this is india, if it were us, they would have been sued several thousand times for several million dollars.only way out, just disconnect
