actual owner of suntv is kalanadhi maran and his brother is daynadhi maran the second one is minister of information technology and comes rarely on suntv he has no actual role in suntv the first guy looks after everything in suntv so i don't see any relation why suntv is not shown for this reason

DM has been accused of demanding the Tatas 33.33% shares from the Tata-Rupert Murdoch DTH project (Tata Sky) for the Sun Network. In reply, he has asked the news papers which have published the report to apologize and has gone to court seeking compensation of Rs. 1 crore for personality damage from Indian Express, Thina Mani and Jaya TV.
I am not surprised tbh. Firstly why they are coming up with a dth service is beyond me. Any sensible person will always prefer tata,reliance and bharti over sun direct. Besides CAS is already in place in the south where most of the channels are free to air so why would people opt for it. Imo the number one option of the marans was to buy a stake in tatasky. This would have given them a greater reach and bigger brand name in this sector. After they failed to get the stake , they decided to launch their own venture.

most of ppl in south india wud probably take SUN i suppose and not Tata Sky or dishtv. And sun channels are most viewed in south. with cable they have to share profit with cable ops/mso but with dish they can get all the profit.wow as per some other thread they already earn 500cr a day what wud they earn after DTH is launched?!!2nd why is this thread in airtel IPTV forum instead of tatasky or sun tv forum?
sun dth will be a great hit in the south even though if they do not have star packages or zee packages because none of these channel are watched by many people so even though they launch a dth package with only suntv channels i am sure it will be damn hitand any news about result of yesterdays judegement between sun and Tata Sky?
i have searched for this information in many sites but they have not yet updated in their sites about this information i think we are going to get a suprise within a day or two when some one suddenly brings out this information
