You never start a car which has been submerged in water. Your insurance gets void instantly. At least that's what insurance companies say. Call the insurance company or service center first.

All I've done is removed the water and disconnected the battery.

Raised a claim just now. A friend suggested to get it taken care of by a local mechanic. Sucks that I got it serviced hardly 1,500 KMs back. Just around the onset of lockdown. And now, this.

Yes, do not start the car atleast till its kind of dry enough.

Also make sure that car has sufficient support to remain in place otherwise it will become a boat and flow away with water! (Ofcourse it needs flood like situation but you never know)

So they'll take the car tomorrow.

Turns out that there's a construction site nearby, they're making a metro station and they released water to our area which literally flooded it. Wonderful.

Its not even raining that heavily, it's just bad clogged drains and poor maintenance for so much flooding

Brooo, the weather prediction is that it will rain the entire week. :( The levels of Yamuna gets high every year, so no surprise. Ever visit Burari area and see how much it stinks after the rainy season and the amount of collected water. You'd be confused if it's a lake or what.

I've never disliked rain this much.
