Hi,At least for now,you all will agree that Airtel's 256 UL is better than MTNL's 256 UL ( Strictly for DElhi ............😛)you pay the same cost,999 for airtel, 949+50 (modem) =999 for MTNL,in terms of speeds,Airtel speeds are now 256~300 kbps, whereas MTNL's are 230 kbps, and Airtel gives night double in Delhi, which as far as i know,MTNL will and has never provided,Customer care:Airtel: yes sir, sure sir.MTNL: hamare bas ki kuch nahi hain, sab upar se hota hain, and not to forget, MTNL mein jitna milta hain, utna hi sahi hain........lol ...😛Airtel advantage:Better wiring (no latki hui taar and all that stuff),better customer care, better speeds ( totalling for the whole day, we guys get around 384 Kbps instead of 230 kbps )same cost.

Single advantage of mtnl which might be for disadv for some i.e. static ip address. One Disadv of mtnl is that ul plan is standalone plan(voice rental add) where as airtel is combo plan

But I heard airtel 's speeds fluctuate ......esp if u dont use download managers

Airtel 256 U/L is definitely better than MTNL in delhi...having double speeds at night is a big advantage..Plus airtel CC is better than MTNL. BTW the speeds on MTNL u/l are around 210-215 kbps now after the new policy of 256 kbps sync rate instead of 288 K

at the moment, on terms of better speed through out the day, airtel is definately A-one, but is known for speed fluctuation, but on the other hand, as the speed doubles at night, its paradise for the downloaders like me...in terms of Customercare etc Airtel is better - no doubt about that.... but u all will agree to me that, once the connection starts workin n is stable, hardly problem comes after that.

Airtel definately. I would recommend them any day over any other 256 UL Plan!

yaa who r the 2 ppl who sed no....yaar zara reason bhi likh do ........waise considering the present situation i feel even home699(128k) is better than mtnl's 256 ul since we're getting 30-34kBps at night and about 20kBps during day.......and al this for 700 buck.....wot else cud u ask for ??

agree

i've voted for MTNL. as somehow i'm gettin 2 MBPS unlimited (sometime), though my plan is AA.... 😀 😀 😀

Airtel not in my area too  . But I like their service anyway, never had a complaint (for my postpaid) which wasn't solved by their CC 🙂 . P.S. - I've heard that the initial (registration charges) are very high for Airtel. Is that true?
