Messenger Plus! is an add-on for MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger, the two popular Instant Messaging softwares from Microsoft. Messenger Plus! adds different features to Messenger to make it more enjoyable, day after day. A list of the main features can be found on the features section of this site. Remember that Messenger Plus! is not a chat program, it only adds functionalities to Messenger; it cannot be used as a standalone application.

We just had a new update from the developers of this funky application. Here is from the developer’s note:

A small update for Messenger Plus! is now available. Version 3.54 only fixes a couple of small bugs found in version 3.52 in addition to restoring proper Unicode compatibility in every area of the software. Nothing is really new in this release, everything is working fine, users seem to be happy with the current features so there’s no point in bloating the software with useless options. Thanks to my new subscription to the Windows Error Reporting system, I’ve been able to locate and fix a couple of bugs affecting a percentage of my user base.

man, it's got lot of spywares...beware!!! 😱 read the EULA first properly, then only install it...it took me a couple of hrs and around 4 softwares to remove all the spywares that came along bundled with it...

right. that is why they have a simple box asking if you want to install sponsor applications or not. if you enable that, you are asking for trouble yourself.

I saw a search bar and advertisement popups after installing Messenger Plus!, why?

Messenger Plus! comes with an optional sponsor program that you can decide to install or not during the setup (which is the same whether it's a new installation or an update. The question is always asked and nothing is ever selected by default). This program will show ads from time to time on your computer, will add a search bar in Internet Explorer and will also change your start page. In NO case this sponsor is mandatory or dangerous. If you don't want it, simply refuse the sponsor agreement during the setup and you will never hear about it again. If you installed the sponsor by error, just launch the uninstallation program of Messenger Plus!, choose if you want to uninstall the sponsor only or Messenger Plus! and the sponsor, follow the instructions and reboot your computer.

Important: if you wish to get rid of the sponsor program, you must uninstall Messenger Plus! from the Add/Remove Programs window. If you start deleting files on your own you will prevent a full system restore as some of the files copied by the sponsor are backups of your original configuration files. Also, never attempt to use programs such as Microsoft Anti-Spyware to remove the sponsor. Doing so would permanently damage the sponsor's restore data and would make the uninstallation much harder than it should be. You don't use third party programs to remove your other programs, the sponsor is no different. For detailed instructions, check out this special post on the forum.[/b]

Hahaha !!! 😀They give u the kind opportunity to install spyware !!! :lol:Thou kindest fellow, I'll kick on ur A$$ for releasing such an application. 😀

atleast they tell people to avoid them if they do not want them. better than most companies out there. if you do not read the FAQs. you are an idiot. a good software remains a good software.

well, to be very frank, was so excited that didn't read or see where i'm clicking... 😉and that messed up everything!!!
