What sort of mathematics is this?
 
VIP costs Rs 399 so technically my upgrade cost should be 1499 - 399 = 1100. Unless I missed something. Or is this because I am using Airtel's VIP offer and not actually paying for it?
 
Did you activate your VIP a couple of days ago? They calculate the discount on the basis of remaining days left, on a pro rata basis.
 
It was activated on 13 Dec so I guess there's really no point in opting for Premium now. Should wait till December.
 
You are again wrong. If you upgrade now, you Validity of 1yr will start from today. But do confirm with them on twitter.
 
I upgraded this way. If you upgrade today, your membership will last till 8 June 2022. I did confirm with them on Twitter and also, it's mentioned in their FAQ section.
 
Upgraded. And yep. It's valid till 14 June 2022. Also, I can see Hotstar still hasn't stopped using a faster frame rate. How does this company thinks these things are okay and nobody will notice?
 
Can any subscriber give feedback on this OTT? I was thinking of subscribing to 399/year plan. Read a lot that Hotstar was good before being acquired by Disney. Also a monthly plan would have made more sense before going for annual plan.
 
You can thank the RBI for no monthly plans. It's difficult to implement them now.

Also, Hotstar was always shit. Before Disney and after Disney. Their player and picture quality are not that great. The only thing going for them is their content library. Their player still doesn't offer a larger interface. It's either small or full screen. No in-between. At times, it even forgets my subtitle settings. So yeah.
