If you subscribe to our current Disney+ Hotstar VIP plan before 31 Aug-2021, you will be migrated to the Mobile plan from 1st September. You will be able to enjoy the best of both the current VIP and new Mobile plan by getting full access to all Disney+ Hotstar content on our platform (including English) while continuing to login on multiple devices. Post the expiry of your current Disney+ Hotstar VIP membership, the new plan will be applicable upon renewal. You will be charged the applicable plan price at the time of renewal.

So once with VIP plan can watch English stuff on mobile till the renewal time? Looks like all devices if I read another page

From 1st September, we are changing the plan structure of Disney+ Hotstar VIP . The new Mobile plan gives you full access to all Disney+ Hotstar content on our platform including English content. You will also be able to login to TV and other devices as you used to previously and watch all content until the expiry of your current active VIP plan.

Actually, I bought the yearly subscription only to watch the Marvel shows . Apart from that subscription is not worth it.
 
The FAQ does not seem to indicate so - they seem to be making it free till near future & on renewal date move to Mobile only.

It seems they are removing content level restrictions and making it common device level.

If that's the case then it is good but ads will ruin viewing experience
 

If you are on a VIP plan, you will get the benefits of both - the existing and the new plan but only until it expires.
 
Read the FAQ. Mobile plan won't allow you to stream on TV or laptop.

Hotstar VIP was much better than this. You could watch anywhere although the limited content. VIP for perfect VFM for Sports and Hindi movies,shows.

New plans are not good.
 
If they start implementing a profile system, people would start sharing subscriptions.
They would at least find some takers then.
 
Technically if one subscribes by August 31, they would get the premium equivalent for a year? On 2nd reading you will get all content on mobile and vip content on tv etc . The wordings are confusing.

What I understand from the FAQ's is that if you subscribe to the VIP plan before 1st September (or are currently on a VIP plan) then you will be migrated to the Mobile plan on 1st September and you will get access to all the content (including English shows and movies). You will still be able to login to other devices (like you are doing now). Once that VIP plan expires you need to pay as per the new plans.

(If you purchase the Mobile plan directly after 1st September then you will not be able to login on laptop or TV)
