Exactt net rules for now

i must share that i was on the 128 kbps unlimited one . it sucked as hell. i used to get about 10 kbps as compared to the 14 kbps i was previosuly getting . of course in this case the CIR is 64 kbps but you cannot digest the fact that you can get the half of what you are paying for and still not do anything regarding that . well coming to the point now that i am on the 256 kbps plan i must say that i am more than happy now with speeds exceeding 33 kbps sometimes and atlest 29 kbps anytime on torrents *bitcomet*. how do i find if anyone is willing to barter stuff in mumbai M*O*V*I*E*S in particular (i checked teh rules and i dont think this is forbidden, if it is , excuse me i am new here )

Thats only if u are living at Andheri where their base is, elsewhere the CTO's charge huge maintainence charges and the whole plan becomes a waste

Are they in Andheri(w)? I'd love to get their 512k account..but last time i checked they are not servicing the area..Kinda weird if their base isin Andheri?

kool.... exacttnet service is good . i mean the "evil" people are the local cable wallah's that charge over the amount . even in that case 1000 rs for a nearly undisconnecting connection that too 256 kbps but the burst higher than 256 ie 33 kbps is quite good . i can manage nearly 3 gb of traffic each day ie up and down so that perfect for a movie freak like me . and other things when i mean to say movies i dont mean website address to download links from or torrents i mean people meeting up and exchanging stuff that they haf on dvd or other material ..seems a lot less effort and less hours spent waiting for a slow download to finish ......so and if this case if allowed by our esteemed mods here are there any takers ??/these things apart .....any one catch the latest star wars flick ... me goin today...cant wait ....joke ****Luke skywalker and darth vader meet up and go for some chinese .they decide to get noodles and darth vader is away lunging at them and eating all up . luke however seems to have a problem with chopsticks . darth vader takes a look at that and says ...." use the forks luke "😀 ne one get that !!

still no problems with exacttnet . not anything major atlest . they are running a pppoe connection with CHAP authentication . and the windows dialler suits just fine . have a redial option set in case it disconnects is really great . there is no real major downtime which extends to over 1 hour in a month . no ports blocked as of yet . my only crib is that they have a sucky tech people who dunno jack shit . but i guess its the same scene almost everywhere . the good thing seems to be that they have a good network design and have good tieups with other isp to have connections delivered . so connections issues are almost non exisitent .i will keep this thread updated with any downtime that i have faced and any problems . take this a blog dedicated to exacttnet . 😉

a) What is the exact bill you pay every month (including taxes etc.) every month for 256kbps? Does the monthly bill fluctuate for any reason from month to month? Are there any hidden costs they don't tell you about when you got the connection/ How much did you pay for installation etc?

B) Are there any limits on their unlimited packages?

c) Have you experienced any downtime, and if so on an average how long did it take before they fixed it?

d) Have you ever called up customer service, and if so, what has been your experience? (Actually, do they even have customer service?)

e) Is there anything else about Exatt that you really like/dislike?

Thanks, and sorry for asking so many questions - I'm thinking of switching over if they provide service in my area.... The thing is that a 512kbps connection with Exatt would, theoretically, be still cheaper than my 128kbps connection with Airtel.

Are there any hidden costs they don't tell you about when you got the connection/ How much did you pay for installation etc?ans: i pay 1000 rs for 256 kbps . i get a bill for that from my cable wallah . this is including the standard charge of 720 plus 10.5 % tax and cable wallh maintainence . the 720 + tax will be constant everywhere but the maintainance may wary place to place. in andheri you get at 720 + tax flat , no extra maintaninence . Q)Are there any limits on their unlimited packages?and : as far as i know there are no limits . i should know if there was as i download a lot . i mean 24 X7 . if speeds vary it may be due to the actual strength for the download offered ( eg slow seeds on bitorrent , slow or a congested server for http ) speeds are really kickass . c) Have you experienced any downtime, and if so on an average how long did it take before they fixed it?ans: this is tricky . downbtime can be faced as frequent as every three hours on a bad day lasting up to a minute each time. and sometimes no downtime for the whole month . in my entire experience with exacttnet over 8 months i never recall a downtime over 3 hours ( that too in the night that too only once ) however i am sure downtime is not an issue if you are going for exacttnet . better inquire about the local infrastructure that the local cable wallah will provide . id) Have you ever called up customer service, and if so, what has been your experience? (Actually, do they even have customer service?)ok ... for any problem i direct my quries to the local cable wallah . he tries to get it resolved by the very next day or else he forwars to exacttnet . i do not have a direct number for exacttnet nor do i find one from the site .though there is one when i had a problem with them that i had to contact them . this was done with the help of my cable wallah . he had called them in my presence there and i spoke to them .e) Is there anything else about Exatt that you really like/dislike?no ports blocked . mostly everything is smooth . a point i stress is that download speeds are better on high end plans compared to low end . the only problem i had with them was when i was on 128 unlimited and the speeds had dropped from my consistent 14 kbps to 11 kbps in januaray . this was a problem at exacttnet but they did not admit that and shifted the blame on my cable wallah . subsequently the prices dropped the next month . the actual issue was that exacttnet introduced 40 kbps unlimited for 200 rs incl tax and this led to a large no of people joining exacttnet and hence bandwidth issues . of course now they seem to have their problems resolved . hope this answeres all your questions . and yeah as far as my nick goes ..isnt it kool ?
