I think beyond the money, its the convinience aspect. This is not true pay per view. This is not post billed, its not as easy to select the movie. Now you tell me who will call tatasky, give credit card number and than sit for a movie. If one has to do so much, he might as well go out and rent the movie or buy it for 50Rs. Rather if they made it post paid and easy to order, their sales would go up. Thats what stop ppl in US from going to blockbuster store as they can pay 20Rs more (approx 50 cents) and order it right from their living room without having to call someone etc. Tata should work on making this post paid and more user freindly. This whole prepaid card thing sucks.

Moser Bear has started sellnig VCD and DVD for Re 28 & 34 respectively, only 100 titles at this moment but will be adding about 10,000 or 1000 in the near futureagain i can rent for rs 35 - 50 a new movie DVD, also with satellilte channels showing the same movies free of charge not much later i dont see this whole idea of showcase is working in INdiawe havent yet taken into consideration the pirated DVD market where you can get upto 5 movies for re 50 /- , 5 movies to own and even if you are to watch them once or twice its more then your monies worth
What I would like is - 1. Buy once and watch it as many times within 24 hours.2. More choice of movies and english movies too.3. Just have it like the US On Demand.4. Not having to call up someone to order it.5. Being able to order straight from the remote.

TSky isn't offering Movies on Demand. It's just some couple of movies at some fixed time slots. Most of these movies are recent flops or older movies.You can't select & order from remote or box because the connection from satellite is oneway only. In other countries, the box has modem with phone connection to make it interactive but in India there is nothing such. You have to call the helpline, the process is manual in India.I think TSky should have it's own movie channel much like Zee Premier as it will be a good value added movie channel, I think every DTH player should have some exclusive channels so that thier subscribers can benefit. The current concept of Showcase is a big flop. Overall it just looks like a means to extract some money from subscribers in the name of convenience.

I have always felt this movie on demand is an eye wash. You really cant call it on demand when you only have 2 movies to decide on.
They have a section for sports and events too.When are they ever going to start real on-demand?Buy once and watch it as many times in 24 hours..Offer more choiceStraight from the STB buying (no calling up call center)Three things that would make it work.
