unable to install windows.

Hi, I have some problems with my internal hard drive. When i want to install an OS, it show me alot of errors. I have partitioned my hard drives with / ext4, . still I can't install Windows on my hard drives.
during installation system reset and thr is so much sound from my HDD.

Any help?

I am glad to help you out. I understand that you are unable to install the windows in your system, it may be a file format issue. For your information, there are file formats that only Linux can read but Windows cannot, and vice versa. Examples are ext4 and ext3 (Linux only) and NTFS (Windows only).

If you want to install the Windows in HDD, you need to format it using a file system recognizable by Windows. I would recommend NTFS or exFAT. If you’re using Windows 7 and above, then NTFS is the way to go.

Before you format though, I would suggest you to transfer all important data in the HDD using the Linux before doing any formatting, because this will definitely erase all data inside.
