Is anybody else in delhi facing slow speeds on sify for past 2 days especialyy today? It was hard time even checking mails.....and this site was giving frequent timeouts

Ya me 2 facing the same problem....Dont know what are these sify people doin 2 their servers.

R u from delhi compuboy? Wat plan r u on?Any body else facing same prom??

I too am facing the same problem of slow net connectivity. The sify customer care guy didnot comment anything on this when i asked him abt itMaybe they are upgrading there servers 🤔

I asked CC if this is a general problem.....they didnt have a clue bout it.....moreover whenever i call sify's cc their voices are so loud that voice is hardly legible....also their madrasi accent

ya i am also facing this problem and also nowadays i have been facing a kind of a error which happens whenever there is a dns error or a timeout and it looks like a error that u will get from a proxy server look at the attached pic

Not at my place mate, here sify is working fine since the past two days.I can also open the speed test page of MTNL without any problems.

BTW that Mtnl test URL is http://mtnl.net.in/test/index.htm - the index.html part was missing in your attached pic, gaurav 7777

Maybe you got a time out coz the mtnl guys were updating the test page. I have noticed that they have recently added a test file for the 512 Kbps plan customers, earlier the test was only for 256 kbps plan.

Is there any improvement......It took ages to load this pageFor me situation is as bad as before. What about u guys..???

I am having the exact same problem, funnily download speeds are usual (11kBps) once I get connected, but sites take ages to open, if at all they open :/ Seems a problem with the domain name servers?

BTW, which DNS are you all using? (Windows users, Right click Network, Properties, DNS servers are listed in some tab as. Linux users, cat /etc/resolv.conf).

These are mine -

nameserver 202.144.66.6
nameserver 202.144.115.4
nameserver 202.144.50.4

I checked the speed it shows 96.5 K but its coming out to be like when i used sify for the first time

I am using the same DNS servers as u ujjawal.I dont think the problem is with DNS bcoz once a download starts.....it slows down and stops in middle.I confirmed with CTO.....he says problem is at Sify's endBut I wonder why Sify is taking ages to solve the problem- already 3 days

Ok looks like DNS problem bcoz i downloaded from microsoft and download speeds are fine......so can we use any other ISP's DNS for time beingor anybody else know DNS other thannameserver 202.144.66.6nameserver 202.144.115.4nameserver 202.144.50.4
