As of now, you can get the old tab and omnibox design back by changing the following Chrome Flag.

chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md

Both Normal and Hybrid seems to work for me. Normal is super compact. Suitable for smaller displays (or low resolution laptops). Hybrid seems to be suitable for most other cases.

Just in case you guys got the new Chrome UI today and do not like it.

here is how to fix another stupid chrome behavior.

chrome://flags/#simplify-https-indicator

select:
show secure chip for non-ev https page

This would enable the secure branding for https pages.

I hate the new Chrome behavior because it expands the omnibar when you click on it to select part of a link.

Actually i had few problems with chrome, as a windows 10 update made chrome slow for https sites and unstable earlier, and now this design change, hence moved to Firefox(default) and edge for my work.

They have disabled disabled flash and forced html 5 for live stream websites, flash works much better, had to disable pepperfy from settings after someone on googleforum posted the solution.
