How to avoid MTNL internet disconnection when a call comes or we pickup the phone receiver to make a call ?
It doesn't matter If the phone and modem are in same line using splitter or on totally separate lines, it always disconnects. It does reconnect back after receiver is placed back but I don't want the disconnection to happen.

@rak007
One must use the splitter. Phone and Modem should be connected to splitter.

Avoid parallel line connection.

normally it doesnt disconnects atleast not with my line, if its happening to you its probably because your line has too much noise , get your line checked by MTNL.

If the line has noise, then how is it fixed ?
Also we get disturbance in landline (when in call) when internet is On. If switch off the modem then the disturbance goes away.

@x720

You have mentioned in your thread about installing multiple lines along with ADSL model. My case is the Number 2 there. I cannot separate the line from where it enters the house so I think I need the "Line Filter". Can you point me to how this device looks and where to find it ?
How much does it cost ?
It is not the normal splitter right ?

You can install a normal splitter too! It works just fine. From wall Jack to line input of splitter, and from phone output of splitter to your phone instrument. Do this for all phones.

Disturbance means you have line problem. When you pick up receiver, you hear noise even if phone is connected directly without splitter.

I hear noise only when internet is working and we pickup the phone. If we turn off modem then noise also goes away.

Then your splitter is faulty. It should keep the modem and phone lines completely isolated. You can try one of your friends splitter or tell the MTNL guys about replacing the splitter.
