Laptop not shutting down

I m using lenevo laptop, when i shut down the laptop, screen goes off after showing "shutting down", but the power light remains ON and i need to to longpress it to forcefully shut it down. i was tinkering with avira antivirus settings when it started happening. now i have un-installed avira, but the problem persists. also the boot time is increased. pls help
 
Try doing a System Restore to a point before Avira was installed.
 
i was using avira for long time, but was making some changes in the settings when it started happening.
 
maybe you messed up with your power button settings and now every time you shutdown , it hibernates or sleep or something , just try opening the power button option and see if it is changed from shut down to something else .
 
looks to me the same you just messed with your power button settings if you are using the power button to shut down your system
 

guys.problem solved.uninstalled avira and run malware bytes, it found 3 spywares, removed it and power button problem is solved.
 
If you can , please let me know the name of spyware that caused this . Name can be found in quarantine box or report in malwarebyte . Just a request .
