Please send me the firmware file to my gmail id = inderpalgarchasaab@gmail.com

THANKS....

I hope you can upgrade and configure it.. BSNL ZTE OX253P OUTDOOR CPE.. the steps are simple. This will enable always ON connection and you can connect a WiFi Router and share the WiMax Connection with multiple devices - laptop, ipad, tablet, mobile phone on WiFi.

WiMax is stable/ troublefree and works better than a wireline broadband connection. Use an Outdoor CPE preferably! Better performance! Zero outages if configured properly and works well in Urban/ Rural areas. Max distance it supports! from BSNL tower is 4 Kms in Urban and 15 Kms in Rural areas. Speeds 512Kbs to 2Mbps depending upon the planned enrolled into. BSNL has an unlimited 512Kbps at Rs750+taxes per month. CPE is available on Rental of Rs.40 per month. (Please check the tariff with your local BSNL Office)

1. log in using admin/admin or admin/1234 as user id /password
2.Select advanced setup
3. Select Advance settings--- System Configuration-- Firmware--
4. Then choose the file . click upgrade..
5. It will take some time to reboot.
6. After rebooting the try to log on using admin/1234 ( if not possible with admin/admin)
7. Select apply for certificate .
8. again go to advanced setup
9. select wan configuration-InternetConnection
10. enter your WimaxUsername@bsnl.in and and password - default is 'password' and anonymous identity - CpeMacId@bsnl.in available on your CPE.
11. click apply.. wait for a return page.
12.again select next tab WimaxConfiguration (here you have to enter the freq.. ask your customer care what the frequency is .. generally it should start with 2635000, 2637500, 2640000, 2642500, 2645000, 2647500, 2650000, 2652500, 2655000.. last enter the bandwidth as 5000.. save .. wait for return page.
13.again go to system configuration select restart..that much
14.Keep in mind that do not power off during upgradation. also check for the correct freq, which you enter in the table.

The firmware & procedure explained here is tested and working fine.

if you are not able login in to 192.168.1.1 then you need to Hard RESET the OX253P (ZTE), by pressing (for 5-10 secs) with a flat screw driver the button next to the RJ45 jack on outdoor CPE while the unit is powered on. And then login 192.168.1.1 with User ID/ Password: admin/admin Or admin/1234. And reconfigure the CPE. BSNL has been allocated 20 MHz frequencies 2635 to 2655 for WiMax, so you need to add the frequencies:2635000, 2637500, 2640000, 2642500, 2645000, 2647500, 2650000, 2652500, 2655000 with last entry for Bandwidth - frequency interval at the foot of the page as 5000 KHz

Rotate and Align the CPE towards the nearest tower for best results - to get -45-50 dBm RSSI signal strength (higher values of RSSI like 80-90 dBm mean weak signal) and a higher CINR Mean of 35-40 means signal strength is good (all the 5 LED's on CPE will power up - the more - the better the signal strength) Keep your account no. user id and MAC address handy for further configurations - default WiMax password here under settings will need to be given as password. Refer to the procedure at the top BSNL binds your account to MAC Address of WiMax CPE to prevent any misuse. So account details will work with a particular CPE only.
What is the anonymous id ?? i reset the cpe so it displayed anonymous@bsnl.in.it always in connecting state.
