I know everyone will think I am crazy, but I really never listened that much to the old music from the 1940's to the 1970's. Yes, its always been around on the radio, on tv - but I never thought of thoroughly exploring in depth. I know how to explore & get western music , but I am really tired of it all - and ironically now I just want to go more simplistic and listen & get all the old Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Lata, and other such songs. I am sure a lot of people here have much much more experience than me (& probably have their mp3 collections too). So can anyone help me out ie where do I begin, how do I make a systematic search, is there a database for all the old music, which torrent sites or music forums are best suited for this, and so on. I realise this is a very generic request, but I dont know how to start and rather than wasting time by stumbling around on a trial & error basis - I wanted to write here. I've heard of a desitorrents private tracker - is that tracker good for old music? if so is anyone a member of that site? Anyway all comments are welcome. And I didnt find a music section to post this thread, so putting it here! Please reply!!!...I am starting from ground zero...😀

I admire your music lovingness ....because I'm also a big fan of oldies....but I can't really help u with these....downloading music is illegal and we can't discuss such threads here ...sorry forum rules.
No harm mentioning the legal way....now a day HMV and other music companies are compiling some old song and re-releasing them such as Coffee with Kishore and all time collection of oldies ...watch for them ...they are quite good.
