Paytm News, Updates & Promos

Once loaded, a UPI LITE wallet allows a user to do instant transactions of up to ₹200, making the entire experience quick and seamless. A maximum of ₹2,000 can be added twice in a day to UPI LITE, making the cumulative daily usage up to ₹4,000.

Additionally, with UPI LITE, users can carry out a large number of small value UPI payments in a superfast manner without worrying about cap on the number of bank transactions. This makes way for a hassle-free payments experience.

I have been using Paytm quite frequently for many days now. It's just faster and much more reliable than Google Pay and Amazon. Even their Payments bank works smoothly.

Just found Paytm has a 'private number' feature which allows to use a random 8-9 digit numbers instead of sharing your mobile number.

So you can share your private number and other users using any UPI app can pay you with that private number.

#######

Don't know if it's done recently or i didn't check. Now Paytm is allowing to use custom UPI I'd instead of default Mobile@paytm.

mmm you guys don't use vpas? random number thing seems to be offered by many apps now. i wondered why because almost all apps let you get a alphanumeric vpa.

anyone get the upi lite update... share the apk 🤣

I use xyz@Paytm now not sure if it’s called VPA or something else. Earlier I was using my phone number.

I read the article again and it says Paytm Payments Bank launched UPI lite. 🤦

So it seems the UPI lite feature is not launched on Paytm app yet. On twitter also only the payments bank paytm page announced it, nothing on paytm page.

I forgot UPI lite feature is only available for selective bank.

edit- this article shows steps to enable upi lite but without any screenshots. Won't be surprised if they just wrote expected steps to enable the feature.

TOI article is confusing.

How Paytm only has like 14 percent and phonepe almost 50 percent. In every small n big stores i find Paytm pos and qr code sound machine. Phone pe sound boxes are now more common but still much less than Paytm.

It's either Google Pay or Paytm for p2p. Phone pe is just installed for backup till u get low space warning and uninstall it.

Lol kaun hai ye log jo phonepe use kr rhe itna.

Till others caught up, I was using PhonePe to transfer a lot between own accounts as that option was simplest and prominent there. Not so much any more - but maybe others are still used to that.
