Hi everyone, so heres again ur poll time. i was just going through the data limits that dataone users have to face in their home schemes. according to me in cablenets there should NOT be ANY data limits or if there has to be then they should start from 6-7 GBs above. the reason is very simple. when ur on a dialup or other snail net then theres scope for data limitations...coz then u hardly reach that limit coz of ur poor speed. on the other hand when ur on a broadband like dataone then we get high speed....ppl buy this high speed for a very simple reason, they wanna download huge data amounts...thats it! or mostly wanna do things that require huge data transfer...now when ISPs put data limitations they simply DEFEAT THE CONCEPT OF BROADBAND!! because when ppl have to face strict data limits then they wont download huge data amounts ie. their connection remains only in name a BROADBAND connection! so whats the use of such high data transfer speeds when the main purpose of downloading huge data amounts is not achieved?? now suppose the monthly limit of a package is 1 GB...then if u download a total of 4 GBs a month then that means u dled apprx 3072 MBs extra...then u have to pay Rs. 6144 in addition to ur monthly payment...wohu!! now thats one exorbitant price u have to pay for a broadband connection...isn't it ? there r ppl who have dled 7.5 GBs in a day on a 2 GB limitation scheme...think about them!! 🤔 think about it...give it a thought and share ur comments and suggestions.

36 views and only 2 votes...common guys neither does voting consume ur time nor ur bandwidth....if u read this post then PLS VOTE!!!....it will help to know the pulse of dataone users!!!

hehe voting neither consumes time nor bandwidth (data)?! you sure?! we're probably saving every last bit to avoid the extra charges heheheh i voted for the second option - not very reasonablei think that yes there should be limits to hamper the leeches, greedy bastards but the limit should be 3x to 5x to be reasonable for the time being...(i'll be happy with a 30gb per month limit on 512k or 1mbps connection at the same prices, FOR NOW)

lol....i meant that ur time and bandwidth will be spent but that of negligible amount 🙂 ya dude i agree with ya...if theres 3x - 5x limits then even i have no probs...

just wanna say this to them "PLEASE SHUT SHOP AND SELL VEGETABLES" 🙂

lolsss....ya true...if they don't meet the REAL user side demands....i don't think they r gonna survive here!

i wonder who in this forum is 100% satisfied with their limitation schemes..must be a normal email checking person...

hehe people who get broadband only to check email are not normal... or just old (40+) people 8-P

I doubt if anyone just checks mail on the net, I am pretty sure that they must be surfing as well. General surfing and emails can well be done well within 1 Gb. Each one has his or her person requirement. Those who want higher d/l should be ready to pay for it. The industry is nascent and shall gradually mature and then rates will fall or higher d/l limits shall be there.

hey ways2gain r u trin to support their limitation policies...a person whose goin to opt for a cable net is sure ready to pay a hefty sum...but the limits should be reasonable...if they would have been atleast 3x-4x times of now then they could be called reasonable...and i used the word reasonable not 100% acceptable... 🙂

I am not trying to protect anyone and their policies. All I am saying is to give every operator a chance to gradually reduce prices. Personally I dont use very high bandwidth ( transfers ) so I am comfy making these statements. This is a bias of mine I must confess.

ya i understand that 🙄 ya thats true every ISP should get some time to reduce the rates...but that time should be reasonable and we all hope BSNL understands all this within time.

Hai allam happy If BSNL offers a plan like this256kbs 1000rs or 1500rs But unlimited planI could down atleast 50+gbs per month and upload of atleast 20+gbstotal 75gbs WOW.... am really happywith that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FarooqI am pretty confident that BSNL and all others will very soon offer unlimited D/l U/l for 1500 as desired by you for 256 speed. May be the slide to tha level will be gradual and not immediate but that day is not very far away. Incidentally in DIAS ( 128 speed of BSNL ) they offer unlimited for 3000 bucks ).
